Cheetahs
Kendi
Kendi came to Panther Ridge along with Nyambe when they were a couple months old to be raised as ambassadors for their species. As the most endangered big cat in Africa, these cheetahs have a very important role to play in educating the public and bringing awareness to the plight of the world's fastest land mammal.
As ambassador cheetahs, Kendi and Nyambe will participate in on-site education programs including cheetah walks, fundraisers, twilight hours, and much more!
Kendi is a very independent and outgoing cheetah. Whether it's from his keepers brushing him during one of his beloved 'spa days' or attention from guests stopping by to say hi on a tour, Kendi is always purring. While he loves to nap in the shade, what he looks forward to the most is getting to go on his daily enrichment walks around the conservation center with his keepers.

Nyambe
Nyambe came to Panther Ridge alongside Kendi when he was a couple months old to be raised as ambassadors for their species. He is very social with the people he's most comfortable with. It may take him a little while to warm up to someone new, but one he does, he'll become their best friend. He enjoys running around and playing with Kendi in their large habitat, as well as going on daily walks with his keepers. While he's more of an abstract painter, Nyambe loves creating colorful souvenirs for our guests on their Cheetah Walk & Paint experience and even has some of his masterpieces available in the gift shop!
