Ming Too, and his sister Mei, arrived at Panther Ridge after Thanksgiving 2011. They came to us from the Nashville Zoo where they had been on display for nine years. The Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) requested that they be transferred to the San Antonio Zoo for exhibit there, but the Nashville Zoo insisted that they be retired to Panther Ridge.

The female, Mei, was over-grooming because of the stress of being on exhibit. This is very common in clouded leopards – they are very fragile emotionally, and can be set off by the slightest change.

Ming Too is large for a clouded leopard, and very calm. He is used to human interaction as he and his sister were hand raised.
